(BPT) – For patients receiving chemotherapy, side effects of treatment often have a significant impact on their daily lives. One of the most distressing side effects of chemotherapy is chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Patients experiencing CINV are encouraged to discuss preventative treatment options with their healthcare team because, although common, CINV may be preventable. Uncontrolled CINV can have an additional physical, emotional and financial impact on cancer patients. To learn more about the impact CINV has on the lives of cancer patients or for more information about how CINV may be prevented, please visit HOPArx.org.
