(BPT) – The weather is cooler and your back-to-school routine is in place. For some, that means getting back on track with health and fitness goals, since for many, those goals have fallen to the wayside.

The experts at Life Time, the Healthy Way of Life Company, have five tips to help you get back your healthy this season:

1. Track it

Whether you’re a parent, teacher or student, fall schedules are guaranteed to be busy. The good news is, it’s easy to make sure you’re spending your time as effectively as possible with fitness trackers. From activity trackers like FitBits or the Garmin VivoFit, to heart rate monitoring and training devices such as Garmin Forerunner and Polar devices, to the LT Connect fitness app, you can make sure you’re spending your time and maximizing your workouts in the best way possible.

2. Get some help

Asking for help in order to reach your health and fitness goals isn’t as scary and intimidating as you think. Personal trainers are around to help with health and fitness, and provide one-on-one guidance and support throughout your journey. From there, you can map out a unique plan together that keeps you on track so you know you’re spending your time wisely.

3. Set a goal

Goals are the perfect way to keep yourself accountable. Whether it’s a fundraising walk for your school or signing up for your first 5K or marathon, working toward a goal keeps you motivated to staying active and healthy. Try keeping a journal of your goals and record the progress of your journey. This will help you be more appreciative of how far you’ve come and prove to yourself it’s possible to reach a goal even on a busy schedule.

4. Find a program that’s right for you

Finding a local health club with schedules and programs that fit your busy lifestyle is key. Most of Life Time’s clubs are open 24 hours a day with a wide range of group fitness classes, so you can do a class and know you’re getting in an extremely effective workout in an hour or less. If you don’t have enough time to go somewhere for a workout, look online! Life Time has online resources with different programs and videos that offer workouts and meal plans you can do anytime, anywhere.

5. Fuel your body

What you put into your body is just as important as how you’re moving it. Plan your meals a week in advance, that way you know you’re getting the right amount of vitamins, nutrients and supplements your body needs. This gives you more time in your busy schedule and you’ll ensure your body stays fueled all day long.
